Petrol, Diesel Rates Cut, slashed In India By Rs 2/Litre, Latest news about Petrol, Diesel- As you know that before some months petrol and diesel were going on increasing in every 3 months. But after the change in government took place, as the Bharatiya Janta Party came into existence the improvements are been seen. The latest news in India is that the prices of petrol and diesel are been slashed according to the internal news of government. We would like to provide the whole information on the news about diesel and petrol price in India. The current petrol price in India is nearly Rs 63.33 in New Delhi and it varies in different states as the price increases or decreases according to the transportation charge of petrol, diesel. Also the diesel price is about Rs 52.51 in New Delhi. Now, according to the International Oil prices the rates are been decreased from the last five years. So now, the prices of Petrol will be Rs 61.33 and Diesel will be Rs 50.52 from Monday that is 15 December, 2014 midnight. The next whole information in detail is been posted in below heading.
From Monday, the decision of reduction in Price of Petrol and Diesel will take place from the midnight 12 pm. This is the eight direct reduction in petrol price and Diesel price since the month of August and fourth direct reduction in price of Petrol from the last October. India’s biggest Oil Corporation has announced that this will be affected from midnight 15th December.
The Price of Petrol in Mumbai will be deducted from Rs 70.95 to 68.86 that is Rs 2.09 will be reduced per litre. As stated above the rates differ from one state to another because of the varied rate of VAT or local sales tax.
The Price of Diesel in Mumbai will be Rs 57.91 from Rs 60.11.
The Government decided to raise the excise duty on diesel by Rs 1 and Rs 2.25 on petrol by making the rate of crude oil slump to USD 62.37 per barrel. The price of Crude Oil in June 2014 was USD 115 per barrel. The price of these oils- petrol and diesel was lastly changed by 91 and 84 paisa per litre on 1st December, 2014.
This is the most important news that after the reduction of today (15th December) in petrol since August, the total price cut till today is Rs 12.27 per litre.
The diesel price was cut from more than last five years was Rs 3.37 on 19th October when it was decided by the government to deregulate the fuel. Then again it was reduced on 1st November by Rs 2.25 a litre and then followed by 84 paisa on 1st December. So, the diesel price is been reduced total Rs 8.46 a litre in the last 4 reduction.
Again there would be a slash in price on November 15th, but the government raised the excise duty on diesel and petrol by Rs 1.50/litre.
The government has earned revenue of Rs 10,600 crore in the last two hikes in excise duty of these both oils- Petrol & Diesel.
