Cricket news: Ishant Sharma replaced by Mohit in fitness test results and out from Indian squad of World Cup
Ishant Sharma going through a knee injury failed to pass the Indian Squad fitness test out of four players and is out from the World Cup 2015. He was unable to perform in the strength trial done by the BCCI. The other 3 players Rohit sharma, Ravindra jadeja and Bhuvaneshwar kumar passed in clearing the health check for International globe tournament of cricket starting from 14th February. The 4 player’s needs to go through the rigorous fitness drills undertaken by some of the seniors of BCCI to know that are they physically strong to play the most awaited tournament from last 5 years. Ishant is a fast bowler and was an x-factor of Indian team in bowling and even senior amongst everyone. He would have selected but the injury was so critical that he was not allowed go head for the World Cup. The three others going from hamstring, shoulder and ankle pain were declared fit for the further matches played in Australia. These 3 still needs to pass one more exam of match test which is depended on their performance in the warm up match against Afghanistan and Australia.
A lot of eye brows were raised hearing this news as many of the cricket fans got disappointed from this. He dint played after 26th January. BCCI has not officially announced yet that is he withdrawn from the team. Mohit Sharma will be heading for further matches in place of the injured bowler.
He is going through a medical treatment for his knee but no betterment is seen in his legs and so the members need to take such important decision of not letting him to play for the tournament. Let’s see when BCCI announce this news officially to the media.
