Let us focus on the Friday trade reports of both these movie. “D” of Shahrukh-Kajol and “BM” of Ranverr-Deepika have released on same day of 18th December 2015 which had amazing response at multiplexes and single screen. Shahruk film would have earned around 45 crore income on first day but because of stiff competition at box office with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, it was unable to reach this amazing collection and was not able to beat his previous movie Happy New Year opening day income.
Rohit Shetty film has released at more than 3000 theatres in India and 700 screen at International cinema theatres. Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie “BM” releases at more than 2800 screen and 600 outside India.
Shahrukh Khan film had an occupancy rate of 60% in the morning show and ended up to 85-90% after afternoon, evening and night shows. While Ranveer Singh film has 50% occupancy in morning but crosses 70% till afternoon and evening show. It ends up with 80-85% occupancy rate till opening day night shows.
