Rock On 2 with it’s release on Friday in multiplex’s didn’t manage to pull the crowd may be it was because of it’s script or due to demonetisation of currency. Seems people were very busy in exchanging the currency notes and were tired hence had no time to visit theatre to watch Rock On 2 on Friday itself.
Though Rock On 2 was released in around 1700 screens it was expected to a business of approximately Rs 5 crores but on first day of it’s release Rock On 2 could collect approximately Rs 2.25-2.30 crores.Whereas in spite of it’s dismal start Rock On 2 managed a stagnant collection of approximately Rs 2-3 crores which comes to around cumulative collection of Rs 5 crores. Compared to Farhan Akhtar’s last release Wazir and Sharddha Kapoors’s Baaghi it’s still catching up and performing low.
Also Apart from the demonetisation factor, what has impacted Rock On 2 last two big releases Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay too are running in theatres and that might be another cause of the film’s poor opening performance at the box office.
Just two days of release Rock On 2 has entire week to cover up it’s collection and match up to it’s expected collection.
